Online Screenings for Neurodiversity
& Mental Health:
Here you will find links to free online tests available for self-screening. This includes tests for assessing for Autism, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Eating Disorders, and other conditions. There are several other screening tools available for public use at Psychology Tools or through other online providers.
Once you complete any of the self-assessments, you can reflect on those scores to share them with your providers if seeking a formal diagnosis, to open up discussions with your therapist, or to inform your neurodiversity coach to help personalize your wellness plan.
If you are unsure about completing any of the assessments or how to understand the results, our coaches can guide you through them in an online session.
Screening Tips:
Consider asking a close relative, therapist, or other loved one to help you go through the screenings if you feel overwhelmed by the tests. Sometimes, the closest ones to us can help provide observations about potential behaviors they witness externally, for example. But the individual will need to express more of their internal experience throughout the screenings for more accurate results.
Examining your medical and behavioral history is essential for obtaining an accurate diagnosis and understanding the potential for co-occurring conditions, particularly if seeking a later diagnosis as an adult.
Here are some of the screening tools you can use related to Autism:
-
The AQ (Autism Spectrum Quotient) (Screening can be used for adult assessment)
-
Autism Spectrum Screening Questionnaire (ASSQ) (Screening for children and adolescents)
-
Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale-Revised (RAADS–R) (Looks at the subjective experience rather than just behaviors.)
-
The Adult Repetitive Behaviors Questionnaire-2 (RBQ-2A) (This looks at restricted and repetitive behaviors.)
-
Camouflaging Autistic Traits Questionnaire (CAT-Q) (This is a good one to capture high masking individuals.) (Maybe more revealing for females or LGBTQIA+ individuals)
-
Neuro-Affirming Autism Screening Tool - Developed by Aly Dearborn, LMFT, and Candice Christiansen, LCMHC

About Self-Assessment Results & Our Programs:
Self-reporting/screenings are not a substitute for medical diagnosis by a licensed medical professional. If your results indicate you have a high likelihood of any of the conditions you screened for, consider consulting a qualified healthcare provider if you are interested in medication, for example.
Here, we recognize and value self-screening for adults as a valid method of reporting and encourage providers to take patient perspectives into account when considering formal diagnosis as a neurodiversity-affirming network.
Our coaches do not require a formal diagnosis to work with you on a wellness plan or to participate in any of our programs. We also have a network of neurodiversity-affirming medical providers & licensed therapists that we can refer our members to if you want a formal diagnosis or other medical care.
We offer guidance as you seek more self-awareness and understanding while exploring the roots of neurodiversity and the ways it may impact your daily life, health, or other goals.
Self-assessments are a tool we use in mindfulness training and to personalize wellness plans for our coaching programs. Our programs are designed to guide you inward with mindful practices, techniques, and practical strategies to overcome everyday challenges while navigating neurodiversity.
Our group classes cover focused content related to Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and other common co-occurring conditions like Anxiety or Depression, and dive into nuanced things like sensory sensitivity, emotional regulation, executive dysfunction, and more. We have options for self-paced learning or more direct coaching, with everything offered online.
